The ever-growing need of saving energy and controlling pollution is hardlycompatible with the growing urbanization and related growing mobility.Governments are starting to realize that it is important to have a smart tool tomanage city mobility. The “Smart City” is intended to provide efficient andintegrated mobility in urban areas, thus saving mobility time and energy. In smart city plans, many trip planning services have been developed, typicallytargeting car mobility, but none of them integrates end to end multimodal transport, energy consumption and city constrains and real-time re-scheduling in front ofunexpected events. Multimodal transport, energy consumption and city constrainand real-time re-scheduling in front of unexpected events is the objective of the tripplanner module of IRMA (Integrated Real-time Mobility Assistant). This module, that is the topic of this thesis, uses A*algorithm to generate the trip and the streetweight is calculated by street factors and city events. Traffic lights, rush hour, strike, accident and many other effectors or events have been considered. When we reducethe time cost the energy cost would be less. The thesis describes the Trip Planner web application according to the projectlife cycle, in terms of system requirement analysis, design, implementation and test.Specifically, different business scenarios are defined in the analysis ofrequirements. In conclusion, this paper presents a new trip planner system solution to providesmart mobility and overcome adverse events aiming to save energy and time. Themethod and the model in the project provide a reference solution to similar projects.
