Telemetry is a kind of technique which is used to measure the parameters ofmeasured object over a long distance. The telemetry technique is very importantfor the design and experiment of missile. The telemetry antenna on a missileplays an important role as one of key component of the telemetry system on themissile. This dissertation mainly researched several kinds of telemetry antennaswhich were applied to the missiles. According to the practical operationalrequirements of telemetry system on missiles, several kinds of antenna schemeswere proposed in this dissertation. The structure design and theoreticalsimulations were carried out for the proposed antenna schemes. Theelectromagnetic radiation performances of antennas were estimated, which canprovide a theoretical and technical foundation for the design and development ofpractical telemetry antennas on missiles.Based on the basic structure and radiation theorem, this dissertationdesigned a rectangle slot microstrip antenna according to given workingfrequency. The designed microstrip slot antenna was fed by electromagneticcoupling and it is easy to realize. The geometry modeling and optimizationdesign were carried out by the full wave electromagnetic simulation technique. The specific simualtion results were given which can meet the anticipatedrequirements. This dissertation researched two kinds of microstrip patch antenna. One isE-shaped microstrip patch antenna, In order to expand the working band, theradiation patch was designed to be E-shapd. The designed E-shaped microstrippatch antenna was fed by a coaxial line on the bottom of patch antenna. Thegeometry model of the E-shaped microstrip patch antenna was established andits radiation performances were calculated by use of the full waveelectromagnetic simulation software. The specific design and simulation resultswere provided. The other is the microstrip patch antenna with slots and parasitepatch. In order to expand the working band, the traditional microstrip patch wassloted on the radiation patch and a parasite patch was loaded over the radiationpatch. According to the design scheme, the geometry model was established and was formulated employing parameter variables. The designed antenna wassimulated by the full wave electromagnetic simulation software and the specificdesign and simulation results were provided. The equiangular spiral antenna (EASA) fed by microstrip electromagneticcoupling technique was also designed and simulated in this dessertation. For theEASA, the new microstrip electromagnetic coupling feeding technique wasintroduced and employed, which advantage is that the feeding can be realized bymicrostrip circuit technique and higher fabrication precision can be achieved. The geometry model of EASA was formulated employing parameter variables byuse of the full wave electromagnetic simulation software and the specific designand simulation results were also provided. Moreover, the Archimedean antennas (ARSA) was introduced and designed. The designed ARSA had traditional planar structure and it was simple. In orderto obtain unidirectional radiation performance, a metal back cavity was used anda conic refection structure was mounted in the back cavity. The total geometrymodel was formulated and a lot of simulation work was carried out, thecorresponding simulation results were given. The designed ARSA wasfabricated and measured, and the measured results were provided. The exploration and research about wide band telemetry antennas onmissiles has certain practical value in engineering.
