With the rapid development of information technology and communication technology, Digital TV has become an inevitable trend in the development of the television industry. We adopt DVB standard and apply mpeg-2baseband data format at present. DVB standard extends the PSI as SI which referred to as service information, the information and the specification of transport stream are very important to correctly receive digital TV program. Along with the expansion of DVB use, Front Parameter of PSI/SI information also changes very frequent, such as PID, add/delete programs, modify a channel parameters(track, name), channel switch, NIT change, emergency broadcast. So Digital TV STB should have the function of dynamic monitoring of parameter change timely, in order to not affect the user’s normally watch.The rapid development and successful promotion of Android promotes the design of embedded intelligent terminal, Digital STB with Android becomes the mainstream direction of the development of current STB. However, as a a novel kind of intelligent terminal, Android STB’s functions are in a newly developed stage and also facing many challenges, especially the basic functions of front parameter change detection, also exist many loopholes and drawbacks. For the above problem, This topic browse all the front parameter and the details the types of changes firstly, then divided the parameter into four categories. The Hardware environment adopts the high-definition digital TV set-top boxes solution based on Hi3716C platform launched by HiSilicon Company, combine with Android4.0operating system and make use of the Android interface development components and JNI cross-language development technology to develop abundant user interfaces and a variety of set-top boxes software. Test results show that the proposed scheme has certain practicality and provide a good detection system for Android STB.Currently, the detection mechanism has been able to run at Hi3716C hardware platform, and through the testing requirements of Tianjin Radio and Television, which was adopted and accepted by some Set-top box manufacturers, having broad market prospects and potential for enormous economic benefits.
