Research On APP Interface Interraction Design For Blind Users Based On Cognitive Psychology

With the advancement of technology, mobile internet and smartphone become moreand more mature. Applications’ birth is accompanied by the development of smartphone, italways affects all aspects of human basic necessities. APP of smartphone which hassimple operation, good portability, a wide variety, powerful advantages plays a variety ofroles in our daily life, such as "life butler","entertainment partners", and "mentor".Accessibility of smartphone’s birth makes the blind users have the same opportunity to usesmart phone applications like normal people. Accessibility make the visual interfaceinformation into voice information to the blind users in order to help them make better useof applications to obtain information. However, in the development of the applications, themost software vendors are not concerned about the design of cognitive characteristics andcognitive needs of the blind users. Although there are millions of APP in the applicationmarket, very little applications can fit blind users. It does not meet the needs of blindusers.This article research APP’s interface interaction design from the perspective ofcognitive psychology, exploring blind users how to use the applications in order toestablish the blind user’s cognitive model. By contrast with the normal people’s visualcognitive processes, analyzing the difference of cognition between normal users and blindusers to obtain the user’s cognitive characteristics. Using combination of subjective andobjective analysis and the cognitive tests to get recessive and vague information from theperspective of emotional and rational analysis. Creating the principles of PerceivedEffectiveness, Reducing Distraction and Effective Memory, Instruct designers to guide todesign APP interaction for blind users, in order to achieve the integration of userawareness of information and the design process.In this paper, using experimental methods of cognitive psychology in the blindaccessibility APP interface interaction design in an innovative way. The principles oflanguage interface design will help blind users to improve the user experience for blindpeople with applications and make users to quickly learn and use them. Through this way, blind people will get more fun and self-confidence so that they can better integrate intosociety groups.
