In this paper, design and implementation of embedded system based on ARM Cortex-M3 is elaborated from two aspects:hardware system design and software program design. Firstly, the paper analyses the requirement and the designing principle of this system. Then follow the hardware's main-framework structure and designing details, including the scheme of MCU minimum system,USB,temperature testing module and audio module. The author also shows the PCB realization in the same chapter. Secondly, the paper gives the software framework structure and analyses how the software level work collaborately. The contents include:setting uCOS-Ⅱoperating system for Cortex framework,introducing ADPCM encode and decode arithmetic,designing an audio broadcast application and so on.In the design, by realizing an embedded system from bottom to top, this paper introduces a general way to develope ARM Cortex-M3 framework system. Both of software system and hardware system are proved working steadily, and the audio broadcast process also performs well.
