Embedded Linux System Design And Application Development Base On PXA255 XScale

With quick development of Information Technology, especially internet popularization and 3C (computer, communication, consumer) systemization development, the coming of Digital Age is declared. Embedded facilities are mainly product in Digital Age. Countries all over the world involve competition in this field so as to obtain dominant position. Embedded Linux as a pet of embedded system software becomes the digital product heart. The cheap Linux resources integrate with information appliance electrical equipment indeed declares the characters of information appliance product. The Linux with small size kernel is used in industry control, remote monitor and control and communication equipment and so on.But most application programs under embedded Linux operation system are designed base on C programming environment with operate command form. So it is a great challenge for engineers, who engage in application design in embedded system to design a friendly program interface using C++ programming language.This paper begins with the transplant the embedded Linux operation system and embedded Qt and Qtopia software platform to Sistang evaluation board. The application programming method is studied in this paper on the new platform. The default hardware driver programs in Sistang board are modified and reconfigured since their bug. The application program about video image sample and serial port communication is encapsulated as C++class, and the application program about video image sample, audio data sample, data transmitted through WLAN, and GPS and GSM data amalgamation used in embedded system is studied. Finally the remote monitor and control system about home-set is designed and developed, it has reference significance and practical value for the engineers who are studying the application of embedded system under embedded Linux operation system.
