The Study On The Application Of The Data Mining In The College Student Score Management System

With the increase in major colleges and universities enrollment, manyuniversities have reached tens of thousands of students. The universities have theirown information management system, specialized databases, such as scoremanagement database, enrollment management database, student teaching evaluationdatabase. And how to extract the important information from the score managementdatabase, and make it effective utilization. It improve decision-making correctness inteaching management staff so that it improve the quality of teaching and managementlevel in the universities. Now, Many colleges and universities are considering thisissue. So my college urgently needed data mining technology in score managementsystem, it through the relevant algorithm to extract feature attributes form the e scoremanagement database, and generate predictive models and classification models toservice in teaching and then improve teaching management level.In this thesis, it uses the combination of the data warehouse and data miningtechnologies to apply in student score management system, and discover itsassociation rules, analyze extracting useful information for decision-making guidance.The paper mainly engaged in the work as the following aspects:First, it studies the students and the score management system, and then accessesto relevant data sources.Second, it extracts, cleanses, transforms and loads from the student score datamanagement system, and then establishes student score data warehouse.Third, it uses the OLAP, correlation analysis, cluster analysis, decision treeanalysis and other methods data mining, to identify the relationship of mutual relations between each course grades and student score and student learningconditions and the behavior of their own.Finally, it analyzes and compares the different data mining methods, and thenmake assessments, so that it provides to the teaching managers to make decisionplan.Analysis result, the use of extraction, analysis, mining in data warehouse anddata mining technology on student score database can discover its potentialinformation. this has important guiding significance on curriculum development,professional development, the improvement of the teaching quality and the studentinterest...
