With the rapid development of science and technology, automated guided vehiclesystem gets people’s attention, and is increasingly being applied to modern industrialproduction. Embedded system is small, fast, collections and high functionality andportability, etc., has been widely used in daily life, been applied to the automaticguided vehicle system increasingly in recent years, automatic guidance vehiclesystems has been greatly improved in intelligent control, real-time monitoringperformance combined with embedded.Thesis elaborated the basic principles the control of automatic guided vehicle(AGV) system based on ARM11.This design uses Samsung’s S3C6410as the centralcontroller, Vimicro ZC0301P camera as the image sensor, TP-LINK wireless card asthe network communication module. The whole system mainly is composed byARM11controlled unit, image guidance unit, infrared obstacle avoidance unit,motor drive unit, network communication unit, and remote monitoring unit.This paper designs the overall structure of automatic guided vehicles, introducedvarious components and functions of the automatic guided vehicles, gives completethe circuit design of the controller, power modules, voltage regulator module, infraredobstacle avoidance module, motor drive module, USB interface hardware.Secondly, This paper studied of the image processing method, proposedextraction guides based on dynamic threshold, and introduced the method ofdetermining the guidewire, this method is simple than other methods.Then, we study control strategy of automatic guided vehicle system, throughmulti-task approach to achieve image acquisition and processing, automatic guidedvehicle control, network communications, achieve real-time control of the car, thefaster the judgment. Capture image data through front camera, image data isprocessed through the ARM processor to calculate the deviation of the set trajectory,using PWM controls DC motor speed, which can move along the trajectory set. Whenthe infrared sensor detects an obstacle in front of the system, it issue commands tochange driving route. In addition, the remote monitoring software can monitor andcontrol the operation of the car.The design of hardware and software programming is divided into multipleindependent modules,they can be individually debugging. This method can achievewell AGV (AGV) systems based on embedded.
