| In this paper, we studied the effect of travel magazines on landscape design basedon the author’s practice. The issue was discussed from six different points of view, sothe paper was consisted of six parts. The introduction focused on the significance of theresearch, the background, the research methods, structure of the content and the primaryconclusion. In the main body of the paper, the concept and connotation of landscapedesign, discussed the characteristics of the tourism landscape design, and the impact oftourism on landscape design was discussed. Furthermore, the impact of travelmagazines on the landscape design was analyzed. Most importantly, the impact of travelmagazines including “Travel the World” on landscape design was analyzed based on theauthor’s experience of practice.The innovation and development of landscape design has entered a new era, inwhich new design concepts and methods such as urban landscape and tourism landscapedesign keep developing. Various factors including economic development, aestheticvalue, and science and technology progress have influenced the landscape design a lot.However, travel magazines also play a role in "hidden" among the influence factors.This paper chose this issue not that hot to study the effect of travel magazines onlandscape design. The study is based on a reasonable logic inference process. Therefore,the author started with the basic concept of landscape design and went further totourism landscape design gradually, then analyzed the impact of tourism on tourismlandscape design and landscape design, and at last analyzed in which aspects travel magazines influence landscape design, with the empirical evidences of “Travel theWorld”.Through analysis and research, the author concluded that the impact of travelmagazines on the landscape design is indirectly. Travel magazine mainly influence thelandscape design on design style or method by their content, reader and feedback. |
