We believe that the News Week magazines in China achieve remarkable progress in these 20 years. The market of News Week magazines performs well as a renascent thing, but due to its slight influence, limited economic ability and range of its brand reputation, it fails to be the mainstream of the media. Besides it innovates relatively late, the reason of the magazines'slight influence also lies in the time that the News Week magazines born---both the newspaper and television are still immaturity, so it faces the various intense competitions among City Week, News Week, deep report of TV, and the internet media. In addition, the immaturity of the Middle Class in China, the unbalance of the markets of magazines and advertisement, the over high price of news week magazines and the obstruction of issue are all the factors that hold down the expansion of influence for the News week magazines. In the latter part of the article, we propose that, in order to promote the influence, we should firstly create the front page story according to the present situation in China, investigate the methods to arrange news and information. Secondly, we need to emphasize the internet and campus for the enlargement of readers. Thirdly, we can strengthen the activities between magazines and readers on the magazine website, which takes advantage of the internet to expand the influences and fidelity of readers. Finally, we'd better work hard on establishing the brand of magazines, by which we enlarge the reputation and get the fond of advertisement business as well.
