Data acquisition technology main research the collection, storage, processing andcontrol of information data as an important branch of information science, which constitutethe foundation of modern testing technology with the computer technology, signalprocessing technology, sensor technology together. But the traditional data acquisitionsystem has low sampling precision, slower output speed, low efficiency and pooruniversality, this paper puts forward a modular data acquisition system which has highflexibility and data processing ability, cost-effective and scalability. Modular structure canwell meet the demand of flexibility of data acquisition system.This paper puts forward a kind of modular data acquisition system using embeddedtechnology combined with SPI bus technology, according to the analysis of currentsituation of the development of subject related technology and the characteristics ofembedded system technology and SPI bus technology. The overall structure of the systemare described in this paper, made clear the functions of the parts of the system, the researchand design various underlying acquisition module and the main controller module hardwarestructure, software structure and the communication between the underlying module andthe main controller.This paper uses the embedded Linux operating system, acquisition system maincontroller chip adopts arm9-based S3C2440microprocessor. The bottom acquisitionmodule selects the C8051F021MCU as the main control chip, includes analog acquisitionmodule, digital variables acquisition module and other modules. On the softwareimplementation, it finished the construction of the development environment of embeddedLinux operating system, developed based on S3C2440SPI driver and kerneltransplantation. Finally through the programming realized the data acquisition andprocessing. The modular data acquisition system has the advantage of flexibility, stability,rapidity and meeting the needs of the design which using embedded technology combinedwith SPI bus technology. The modular data acquisition system has a wider applicationprospect no matter in the field of industrial control or fault detection.
