This paper studies the advanced FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array)development technology, which includes high-level synthesis technology, DSP systemgenerator and IP integration and packing technology. This paper introduces theapplication process of the three advanced development techniques in detail.Meanwhile, combined with practical application example, this paper compares theadvanced FPGA development technology with the traditional FPGA developmenttechnology in-depth.After nearly three decades of development, FPGA has become one of themainstream technologies for digital system. The traditional FPGA developmenttechnology is by RTL level hardware description language, which leads to a longdevelopment cycle and isn t suitable for team collaboration. To solve these problems,both the FPGA producer and the third-party tool producer are committed to theintroduction of a variety of advanced development techniques and advanceddevelopment tools. The main purpose of this paper is to analyze and evaluate theprinciple, application methods and the practical effect of these tools. Thus it can beeasy to choose the FPGA develop tool for a complex system.Based on the deep research and analysis, this paper applies the IP integration andpacking technology and DSP system generator technology for a multi-channelreal-time array signal process system and introduces the components of the system,the FPGA firmware development method and the verification result of the system.The system introduced in this paper is stable and of good performance, which provesthat the development method of this system is feasible and effective.
