Video Surveillance System is an integral part of the whole securitysystems. It has an capable of prevention. In the recent years, video monitoringis widely used in many occasions with the development of computer scienceand character of monitoring system. Among these, digital video surveillanceSystem began to has the most amount in the whole security system market.The paper designed and accomplished network video monitoring systemwhich based on streaming technology and then described the softwarearchitecture and hardware platform of video surveillance system. The articlefirst introduced the development background of the products and process ofvideo surveillance technology and then described the key technologies. Thepaper also gave a description of the video surveillance market demand anddevelopment model,then prospected video surveillance business. The papercompared video compression algorithm M-JPEG, H.264in IP-based videosurveillance system and then I decided to use H.264codec in videosurveillance system technology. The system adopt A5s chip of the ARM and DSP processors andOV2715sensor as a video collect device. Paper gave a description of theembedded video system and design embedded Linux operating system, withrunning embedded Linux system, it recorded video with sensor OV2715.System used FFmpeg to compress H.264streaming and achieve h264hardware decoder implementation and finally system simplified RTCP/RTPpacket format and optimized RTP designment of H.264through Live555media server. Finally we could see the preview through the browser in PC.The whole software architecture included the video record module, the videotransferring module, the congestion problem and video AV sync.Experiment had two ways to go browsing and video surveillance, onewas the VLC player mode, the other was through Live Web. Two methods hadbeen successfully validated H.264compression and streaming real-timetransmission of correctness. The surveillance video delay, frame rate andimage quality could basically meet the real-time live video surveillancesystem. The performance of fluency and picture clarity were well when boardusing A5s processor to run video H.264/MPEG4hardware compression andusing Live555media server.Finally, the system carried out a detailed functional and non-functionaltest. Through testing the ability of the video codec, the image quality, network delay, and other detailed aspects. From the experimental results analysis, thesystem had a fully feature, high video compression rate, low powerconsumption and the system was also easy to upgrade and operate. Thesimple, human-computer interaction and good performance of system couldbe fully able to meet the requirements of network video surveillance system.
