Application Of Wireless Video-monitoring System Based On Streaming Media Techniques

Wireless video-monitoring system is a promising system that integrating wireless communication technology and information management technology with the traditional video-monitoring system, while streaming media techniques play an important role in its implementation. The combination of streaming media and video-monitoring system makes the system have more functions, shorter accessing times and better viewing effects.As a result, wireless video-monitoring system based on streaming media techniques has found wide applications in many fields.This thesis presents the application of streaming media techniques to video-monitoring system as well as the implementations, which consists of the following aspects,1. An analysis on the characteristics of streaming media techniques is made, which includes network protocol,video QoS control of application layer and video synchronization.2. Two implementing methods of streaming media techniques, one based on RTSP/RTP/RTCP protocol and one based on TCP protocol, are described in detail.The analysis and comparison of the two implementations are presented and the later one is chosen to transmit real-time streaming.3. A thorough analysis and design of the wireless video-monitoring system is made, which includes the construction, the functions and the structure of the video-monitoring system.4. Software design and implementation for the client are described, which consist of the interactive information between client and server, startup process and video-playing process through network as well as the design of some main modules.
