With the rapid development of e-commerce B2C industry in these years, thequantity of orders from customers to the major B2C e-commerce enterprises growrapidly. The level of management and the speed for delivery have become increasinglydemanding. Continuous optimization, development for more efficient warehousemanagement system become inevitable choice for B2C e-commerce businessesenterprises. Warehouse management system is the automated tool which preparinggoods, picking, shipping and other operations for the orders from customers accuratelyand rapidly. Meanwhile warehouse management system manage the commodityinformation, storage rate and other important information, So warehouse managementsystem is one of the most important B2C businesses Information systems.Warehouse management system basic requirements can be summarized into fourparts: the goods management module, the order processing module, the data query andexport module and the optimizer for the path of picking goods module. The goodsmanagement module is primarily for goods receipt storage, goods shelves managementand goods information maintenance etc.The order processing module, it operate theorders which send to the warehouse management system by the ERP system. By pickinggoods in order, preparing goods in orders, printing orders, reviewing orders, sendingorders out of warehouse system, complete the with the conditions of operations fororders in the warehouse. The data query and export module provides of data list ofgoods or data list of orders with the matched conditions, which display or export byquery the data of orders, the information of commodity etc. such as with these relevantattribute. And the optimizer for the path of picking goods module can get the better pathfor picking goods.Warehouse picking operation is an important part of the work in warehouse. In this paper, the warehouse picking path problem was transformed into classic travelingsalesman problem(TSP). By using A*algorithm and genetic algorithm, we optimizepicking goods path, compared to the results of the two algorithms, take the better pathsolutions as the optimization results, send optimization results to the warehousemanagement system. Then in the system picking orders for goods can be displayed andprinted with the optimized picking path.The optimizer for the path of picking goods module which implemented in thispaper inprove speed of the picking goods in warehouse and sending goods out ofwarehouse,and made the percent of the time of picking goods in all of warehouse worktime reduce to nearly30%from60%which is in traditional warehousesBy the testing for basic functions and path optimization of the warehousemanagement system to meet the needs of B2C enterprise warehouse, its performancehas reached the predetermined requirements.
