The main functions of the intermediate video receiver are measuring someimportant properties of the intermediate video signal, such as phase detection,frequency measurement and wave detection. The performance of the intermediatevideo receiver plays an important role of the weapon’s system. To produce qualifiedvideo receiver, the development of the video reciver’s test system is as important asdevelopment of the viedo reciver. Traditionally, the test system is accomplishedmanually which is not efficient. So this article introduced an auto test system whichnot only guarantees the development and production of the intermediate videoreceiver, but also improves the efficiency of the test.According to the requirements of the intermediate video receiver’s test, the testof the video reveiver mainly includes the following parts: power supply of the autotest system, generation of the modulated impuse signal, controlling of theinstruments, auto test, manual test, data proccessing, report exporting and so on.Besides, to make the auto test system easy to maintain and smaller to take, the autotest system adopts the platform of PXI bus which also includes the GPIB and LXIbus.This article specificly introduce the design of hardware of the CPCI moduleswhich can realize different functions. Such as the design of different power supplyfor the different requirement of the power drive; the design of data acquirng ofphase detecton, freqency measurement and power monitor; the design of modulatedimpusle signal’s module which can generate modulated impulse with adjustablefrequency and duty circle to complete the measurement of the detected wave of twochannels through the oscilloscope.The software of the video reciever auto test system is base on theLabwindows/CVI which provides the programming of the driver for CPCI moduleusing the VISA. The analysis, processing and storage of the acquired data of thephase detecton, frequency detection and wave detection is based on the Accessdatabase. The exporting of the three kinds of word report is based on the ActiveX technique. The auto test sub functions which measure the parameters of theintermediate video receiver runing in the background and the display of themeasured data which changes along the time is based on the multi-thread technique.It can develop a stable, functioning, UI friendly, easy to operate user inteface toadopt the module programming technique.The intermediate video receiver auto test system already has been used, and itcan meet the requirements to test the intermediate video receiver through long-termapplication. The auto test system improves the efficiency remarkably to replace thetraditional way of testing through operating the instruments separately.
