| With the improvement of software system technologies, companies are progressively paying more and more attention to software quality. By delivering software of high quality, companies are able to indirectly reduce development cost as well as gain more customer satisfaction. In such circumstances, software quality assurance technologies are growing rapidly. Along with the increase of the number of software systems and applications, the scales of software systems and applications are also growing dramatically. So that the manual software testing methods are no longer applicable, which leads to the development and application of automated software testing technologies, which is also the trend of the software quality assurance industry.Our team has developed an automated testing system aiming for the real-time database system (RTDB) in our company. This testing system is developed with python based on the STAF framework and is targeting the API service of RTDB.This system consists of six major modules:Cotrol Module, VM Operation Module, File System Server Module, Result Collection and Publish Module, Public Operation Module, Test-case Scripts Module. This system offers version update detection and downloads automaticly, test-case running automicly, test results collect and publish functions.This system has drastically lowered the burden of the quality assurance engineers by avoiding manualwork for complex and repeated tasks and increased the proportion of more creative and innovative tasks in the daily work of the engineers. The evaluation system is able to work continuously so that it has increased the productivity of the whole quality assurance team as well as improved the software quality of the RTDBS. |
