Design And Implementation Of The Host Monitoring System Performance Management Platform

With rapid growth of network technology and global informatization, modem network as infrastructure of the information society has infiltrated into every aspect of society. Enterprises put a lot of effort into constructing its own network system in order to improve their core competence power. How to manage the network system and ensure it to work correctly has become a crucial problem, especially to manage network hosts and servers. Because the network usually contains multiple operating systems and servers, more requests on monitoring the performance of hosts and servers are brought forward.This dissertation puts forward the key problems of constructing the hosts network management system based on Web, by analyzing the models of constructing hosts monitoring network system and studying Web application correlation technique .In order to solve the problems on cross-platform and extensibility of this system ,this dissertation study the J2EE application framework ,and analyze the framework and related technologies on application, then separate the business logic layer into control layer and DAO layer by using Struts ,Hibernate and Spring integrated framework. On the basis of the traditional three tiered architecture model, this dissertation construct host monitoring system performance management platform based on Java Web and the logic four tiered architecture model. In this dissertation , the realization of system is introduced in terms of Viewer, Controller, DAO, Data Persistence. The Ajax technology was introduced to construct the system for improving their display real time and network efficient. Furthermore, this dissertation realized displaying and monitoring the real-time data, and monitoring the network connectivity thus this hosts monitoring system can promise rich user experience.Alert as a performance management strategy, is also one of purpose for performance management. A good alert strategy is necessary to help network administrator manage hosts and systems more effectively. This dissertation analyzed the action of alert. This dissertation also introduced the importance of alert subsystem for finding and eliminating system crash. Finally, in this dissertation we dilate upon the design and realization of alert subsystem on the basis of researching the alert strategy.
