Research And Implementation Of Network Performance Monitoring

With the continuous development of network technology, the number of network user is on the rise, the scale of computer network have constantly expanded.The network complexity and heterogeneity are also increasing.It brings difficulties to network planning and management and network behavior analysis.The improving of network perfomance is slow.Network performance monitoring technology providing a means to realise network characteristics in actual network environment. Through collecting data from network devices, processing data and analyzing data, we can troubleshoot network anomalies, realise network performance, optimize network planning, and predict the network problems may occur.This paper introduces the theory and methods of network performance monitoring technology, includes background and significance, current research status and development trend of network performance monitoring technology, the main monitoring objects, commonly used monitoring methods and tools. Second, introduce alarm technology which used in network performance monitoring.On this basis, design and implement real-time performance monitoring systems. The system is based on Struts2 framework.The system according to data provided by network monitoring equipment, found the abnormal changes of the network, given the abnormal alarm, implement the function of proactive monitoring. This paper describes the system's overall design and functions, details of the alarm mechanism in the system, given the implemention of the system.
