Design And Implementation Of Test Management System Based On.NET

With the progress of science and technology, the rapid development of thesoftware industry, the requirements for the software product quality are also beingimproved, thus the software testing is being paid greater attention by more and moresoftware development companies. The acknowledgment for the software testing areconstantly updated and enhanced, in the past, people attached great importance to thetest case design methods, such as automatic generation of test cases. More and moresoftware development models are proposed, like incremental development. Alongwith the development model, the expansion of the scale of software development andtest cases increases, software testing requires multiple regression testing, so that testcases and test executions management, including defect tracking difficulty aregrowing. Good test management system to facilitate the completion of the testsoftware requirements traceability, easy on the test cases and test runs, and the lifecycle of the software defect tracking, thus greatly improving the efficiency ofsoftware testing and reduce the cost of software testing, provide a good guarantee forsoftware quality. In this thesis, the purpose is to study and research in-depth on thetest management, design and implementation of a Web-based test managementsystem.In this thesis, on the basis of the clearance of the importance of a software testingmanagement and the analysis of software test management concepts andcharacteristics, combines to the actual situation of the current software testing, thesoftware test management tool is developed for the most software developmententerprises. The tool has the following features:1) using B/S structure;2) testproject management, project requirements management, test cases management, testruns maintenance;3) role management, permissions management and access control;4)Customized test process;5) completed test case management process: create,prepare, approve, modify, complete, execute, link the defects;6)evaluating the testcoverage according the relationship between the test cases and requirements;7) trackand trace the entire lifecycle of defects;8) a variety of ways for defect and test casequery;9) test statistics;10) import/export test cases and defects to.cvs formatted file.This thesis presents a solution to software test management. The interface of the test management tool is friend and efficient. It is proved that this tool have universalsignificance in the general software test management by several projects.
