Phonetics is a specialized scientific research content that research the process ofspeech production, mainly by various types of detecting instruments, especiallynon-invasive instruments to study the characteristics of speech production,transmission and reception. Airflow is the driving force of speaking, the airflow canreflect a lot of information of speech, so design non-invasive detection equipmentshas become an important research in this field.The paper focuses on the design and implementation of detection equipment ofnasal-oral airflow pressure in speech generation, through designing and selecting thehardware, we can finish the device, then record and analysis the data. This researchmainly includes some parts, the chosen of the mask, we choose the protection maskwhich can minimize the distortion of the speech signal rather than the rigid mask. Thehardware design includes the following circuits designs, such as level shifter circuit, itchanges the voltage range from0.5V~4.5V to-4V~+4V, it is helpful to observe thedata, also it can share one data acquisition module with other signals such as voicesignals. The low-pass filter circuit, it filters out high frequency signals.The signalamplify circuit, it amplifys signals, including voice signals and the voltage data fromthe airflow signal, after filting it is easy to observe and analysis.Recording Chinese plosives, analyze the data, testing the performance of theinstrument and calculating the air pressure and airflow speed.This article includes hardware chips’ using method, how to select them, makingthe comparation between different types of the hardwares with same function. Thehardwares include PA-100-100D-W pressure transducer, LP2954AIT, LM2990T lowdropout regulator, INA137PA audio differential line receiver, and so on.This article also includes collecting data and the analysis of them. Use the newnasal-oral airflow pressure measurement to analyze some Chinese Consonants.
