Staff training is an important means for enterprises to maintain their advantagesin the fast competition in modern society. In the knowledge based economy society, people have to learn everyday. And it is never to old to learn. From training, peoplecan complete their occupation career planning easily. Therefore, in the modern society, training exist widely in all walks of life.Power is an important part of energy, accompanied by the country witheconomies in transition and the development of clean energy requirements, and itsirreplaceable advantages, the power industry will have a crucial period ofdevelopment. Because of the special nature of the power industry, there are a lot oftraining within the industry.Traditionally, during the process of electric power equipment training to theemployees in the power plant, the generator, will bring economic losses and socialinfluence. The development of the information technology can bring a new idea forpower plant training, and can make contributions to the improvement of trainingefficiency. This article is based on the above background, and a3D simulation system forpower plant equipment training is designed and implemented. After investigating andconsulting a large number of documents, the requirement analysis is finished. And thetechnical line is determined, after the comparison of different ways of methods. Thedesign of the system architecture is finished. OGRE is used to be the3D renderingengine of the whole system, and Qt is used to design the system interface, andMySQL is used to design and implementation the database, and C++is used as themain programming language. At last, the whole function demands are implemented.Through this system, users can roam the factory, to understand the equipmentlayout, operation equipment models, see the appearance of equipments, and also candisassembled models to understand the internal structure of equipments. This systemcan also display equipment maintenance automatically or manually. The use of thesystem can provide powerful support for the power plant staff training.
