This paper has researched the present remote video surveillance systems in themarket,and found that the problems of complex construction,not very easy to ecpand aswell as maintain,and transmission distance limitations are also concerned.The remote video surveillance system uses a microcontroller of core AMR920T toprocess image data, a USB camera with central controller of Vimicro ZC301to collectdata,and a USB wireless net adaptor to transmit data.The embedded web and videoservices are realized in the Linux platform,which uses the frame difference to detectmotion.When Web server receive HTTP request uses the CGI programs to intract,thenacquire the image using the camera,process and send it to Web.Meanwhile,it sends theacquired data to HTML.The program of receiving and displaying video is based on JavaApplet, the clients with browsing the video data by web browsers on PC orsmartphones,setting the parameters,and also controling the camera angels,and it also canachieve a simple motion detection and tracking.The paper firstly introduces the architectures of the system’s software and hardwareplatform,including software environment building,the transplantation ofBootloader,Linux kernel as well as yaffs filesystems,and the design of USB camera aswell as wireless net adaptor;Then,the compilation of Web server and MJPG-Streamer arediscussed.Of cource it analyzes the design and implementation of CGI programs andHTML pages in detail,which display the video image datas by Applet technologyembedded into HTML.At last,the frame difference theories are described.Above all,theexperiments show that the system is running well when browsing the video data throughweb browsers on PC or smartphone.It satisfies the desired effect,and has profound ofpractical use.
