Today, agricultural products need to be protected because the improvement of people’sconsciousness of food safety in our country. Agricultural products need to use cold chainlogistics monitoring system to ensure their quality and safety, and the transportation linkmonitoring is the weakest link in the process of cold chain. In such cases, this paper designeda monitoring system based on WSN technology to collect the environmental information inrefrigerated car. The main research results are as follows:(1) This paper introduced the research progress of monitoring technology in the coldchain logistics, analyzed the present situation and the demand of monitoring technology foragricultural products cold chain logistics. By comparing a variety of short distance wirelesscommunication technology and network topology structure, this paper chose ZigBeetechnology and star network to build a wireless sensor network and design the scheme of themonitoring system.(2) This paper has completed design of the sensor node and the router. The sensor nodehas realized to collect the temperature and humidity based on CC2530SoC and SHT15sensor,and a power monitoring module has been added. Router is equipped with LCD displaymodule and communication module to realize data display and upload based on CC2530SoC.The node used Z-Stack to build the communication wireless network and achieve to collectthe environmental information, transfer the data and display it.(3) This paper has completed the software design of the monitoring system. Themonitoring system is designed by LabVIEW software. Monitoring system realized to showthe information to the driver. An alarm module has added to remind the driver if theenvironmental information was changed.(4) A confirmatory test has been used to verify the functions of the monitoring system.This paper has designed experimental test to realize transmission characteristics in differentcommunication frequency of nodes. The monitoring system also has been used in actualapplication to observe the applicability.The result shows that this system has a good performance in low power consumption. It has high integration density with stability in communication. The system can collect accuratedata and be applied to the whole process of agricultural products cold chain.
