With the technological development and people’s growing need on new types ofnetwork, currently the telecom business in our province has gradually moved fromspeech to data service. How to construct new high-speed networks carrying a variety ofbusinesses to meet different needs of each user becomes the priority.The build of province nets four plane is to solve the problems of aging and saturatedequipment in Hebei Unicom branch current long distance transmission network.To solveprovince network insufficient bandwidth capacity, we need to establish a new generationof high-speed development of large capacity long distance transmission platform suitablefor a variety of business. The application of Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing(DWDM) technology not only makes the performance of the communication networksystem become more reliable and stable in the field of optical communications, but alsoimproves the system communication capacity to a large extend. DWDM technology candirectly access to a variety of business, and its advantages of not interfering with eachother can meet the expanding demand on information, providing a brighter future for it.This paper first introduces the background and significance of the research,background and characteristics of dense wave technology; analyzes the key network-grouping technologies of dense wave technology, including DWDM network architecture,DWDM network design; then from the perspective of the whole network of HebeiUnicom branch, based on the existing Hebei Unicom long-haul WDM transmissionnetwork, analyzes the current needs on its all kinds of business and conducts equipmentselection through equipment performance, operating costs, etc., and analyzes thecharacteristics of the selected Huawei OptiX OSN series devices, and puts forward thedesign plan of province network four plane project; with reference to wavelengthdivision multiplexing transmission system project design specifications, tests the systemBER performance and jitter performance; test results shows that the design is feasibleand safe, and meets Hebei Unicom branch’s need on long-distance transmission trunk.
