With the continuous development of wireless communication technology and the growing popularity of3G networks, the number of projects applying wireless video transmission to video surveillance is increasing rapidly, developing especially fast in recent years. The area that combines mobile communication networks and embedded intelligent processing technology will become the development mainstream in the future progress trend of wireless video surveillance.Corresponding to the limitations of traditional wireless video surveillance solutions, a wireless intelligent video surveillance solution that combines3G network with embedded intelligent video analysis technology is proposed in this paper. In the design, the overall design and hardware/software design of the video surveillance system are completed mainly relying on the development of mobile communication networks and embedded technology, as well as utilizing the increasingly mature3G networks and Hisilicon Hi3515video processing chip. The front-end of surveillance system is composed of Hi3515and SIM5216E, integrates intelligent video analysis, intelligent control, and other functions. It has realized only transferring the useful video surveillance information---abnormal event information, setting the special receiver who will receive the surveillance information, and transferring the surveillance information according to user’s commands. Surveillance scene information database has be established on the PC user terminal. According to the surveillance video data received from the front-end of surveillance system, it can obtain the corresponding electronic map and the surrounding information, and can realize multi-channel surveillance. This system has the characteristic of intelligentialize, flexibility, stability, and is easy to expand, broadening the application fields of wireless surveillance. It is especially suitable for the complex terrain, poor environment and unattended area to use.This thesis mainly completed the following six tasks:1. This chapter introduces the development history and status quo of wireless intelligent video surveillance system, an overview of the ARM embedded system, content and significance of this topic research, and chapters arrangement and the completed work.2. This chapter introduces the overall design scheme of wireless intelligent video surveillance system, including the system overall scheme, components selection,3G network communication protocol, as well as video compression coding standard.3. This chapter introduces the system front-end hardware overall design scheme of3G wireless video server, including the main components of the selection, the composition of hardware circuit module and so on. The composition of hardware circuit module mainly includes three parts:the main control module based on haisi Hi3515,3G communication module based on SIM5216E and video acquisition module based on MT9D111. And it introduces the process of the PCB printed circuit board design which using Cadence software, the problems in the welding and debugging.4. This chapter introduces the overall design scheme of wireless intelligent video surveillance system software, including the construction of the system software development environment, the transplant of embedded systems based on Linux, the transplant of3G communication module driven and the design of system application software. The idea and process of the system application software design is the primary focus.5. This chapter introduces the functional verification of wireless intelligent video surveillance system in certain circumstances, to ensure to get the specific results, and validate the feasibility of the system.6. This chapter summarizes the main work of this paper, as well as the problems and the problem-solving methods in the work. According to the deficiency of existing in this system, put forward the direction of the future to improve this system.Through intelligent video analysis algorithms and control programs, the wireless intelligent video surveillance solution proposed in this paper, at the same time of achieving machine active surveillance, reduces the3G data traffic costs generated during product employment.
