In recent years, with the progressive technology innovation and developmentof China’s economy, unprecedented prosperity appears in all areas. Under suchcircumstances, the greenhouse development becomes China’s urgent priority.Because of our national conditions, the construction of the greenhouse is one ofthe important development directions of agriculture in our country. Thetraditional greenhouse production relies on manually farming. It requirespersonnel observations to the agricultural environmental information changesevery day. Afterwards, as the technology grows and the innovation appears, theobservation can be implemented by laying cables in the farmlands. But when thefarmland is criss-crossed with cables, it will be inconvenient for farming.Meanwhile, it will cost much time to maintain the cables.Focusing on the above problem, this paper presents a remote greenhousemonitoring system multi-parameter data. The system used ZigBee technology,remotely monitors the greenhouse environment through remote PC, embeddedgateway and wireless sensor networks. ZigBee technology is an important part inthis system. And there are other parts are necessary, such as terminal collectionnodes, wireless nodes, coordinator nodes, and embedded gateway. The collectionnodes can accurately and real-timely capture the environment factors offarmlands, including air temperature, air humidity, light intensity, soiltemperature, soil moisture and the concentration of carbon dioxide. The collecteddata are transferred to coordinators through wireless ad hoc networks.Coordinators are installed to organize the networks state, upload the sensorsvalue data and receive various demands. Sensors send the data to the embeddedgateway through the serial ports. And the embedded gateway transfers data to aremote PC via Ethernet modules. At the same time, the embedded gateway has to monitor the local data. These networks help to collect and transfer theenvironment information in the remote farmland. A data aggregation methodbased on matching tracking technology is adopted in the process of physicaltransmission. On the premise of data accuracy, this method is used to reduce theamount of data transfer, thus reducing energy consumption and prolong thenetwork lifetime.After testing, this system on the transmission distance, low powerconsumption, the accuracy of the data acquisition and system stability, arecomplying with the design requirements. This system is suitable for applicationin greenhouse environmental information monitoring.
