The Design And Development Of LAMP-based School Roll Archives Management System

To solve the problems in archive management in colleges and universities that file input, modification and retrieval are time-consuming, laborious, inconvenient for sharing and inefficient, and to adapt to the users’requirements of standardization and high efficiency in archive management model, the thesis adopts the key technology of LAMP (Linux+Apache+MySQL+PHP) to research and develop the Internet-based student archive management system on the database modelling and network platform, hence the design and development of Web-based LAMP student archive management system.The functional module of the system basically realizes the functions of user management, student grade management and class management. The system also provides functions like data statistics, query and report generation.To enhance the efficiency and precision of the file retrieval, the thesis adpots the feature of vertical search algorithm and applies it to the file retrieval. TF-IDF algorithm is improved and a new vertical-search-based file search algorithm is designed. The algorithm incessantly optimaizes and reorganizes the information resources and increases the added value of its own so as to improve the original service model to cater for different practical requirements of users.The system uses both the experimental environment and users’ practical application to test every functional module. The test shows that every function of the system enjoys good stablity and practicality. The vertical-search-based file search algorithm enhances the efficiency and precision of the file retrieval.
