The ore dressing process occupies very important position in the metallurgical industry. As the primary part of ore dressing process, the crushing process control technology research has always been concern. In order to guarantee the stability of the crushing process of the ore dressing, the material level of the crusher as the key of the technic must be controlled at300mm.The adaptive optimal control of the complex parameters is the core of the crushing process of the ore dressing technology.The analysis shows that the crushing process of the ore dressing is complex, and it has the characteristics of nonlinear, uncertainty and time delay.The traditional control methods are difficult to satisfy the requirement of the crushing process control.The crushing process model of the ore dressing was proposed on the mechanism analysis based on the research of similar documents and the crushing process characteristics.According to the characteristics of time delay and time varying of the crushing process of the ore dressing, the Smith controller was designed for compensating the time delay,while the adaptive controller was proposed for making up for the disadvantages of the Smith controller.The Smith controller has a high demand for the accuracy of the model and it is difficult to adapt to the mismatch model.Considering the similar documents, the characteristics of the process model and the adaptive algorithm, the adaptive Smith was designed for the crushing process control of the ore dressing.The simulation show that the adaptive Smith still has a good control effect in case of the model mismatch.The adaptive Smith is the core of the crushing process control system, and the hardware and software of crushing process control system of the ore dressing were designed.The software consists of the centralized monitoring, distributed measurement and control, network communication and other parts, and it is programmed through the way of object oriented.The FCS(Fieldbus Control System) distributed structure was adopted as the hardware structure.Then the crushing process monitor of the ore dressing is realized on the adaptive Smith controller.
