Wireless sensor network technology has been developing for many years, now it hasbeen widely used in various fields.We combine with the specific requirements of theenvironmental monitoring and industrial field data acquisition system, through comparativeanalysis and find out that ZigBee technology, which with features of short delay, low powerconsumption, low cost, is very suitable for the application of environmental monitoring andindustrial field data acquisition system. Wireless sensor systems based on ZigBee technologymostly has both ZigBee chip and the MCU, so the system has high complexity and cost. Thelatest STM32W108chip has32bit ARM Cortex-M3kernel. The transceiver module andcontrol module are integrated in a chip, and curing the protocol stack. We can developProducts directly through API without transplanting protocol stack, so this greatly reduces thecomplexity and cost of system development. STM32W108sensing system rarely reported.This paper designed a wireless sensor network system based on STM32W108, it cantransmit data of industrial and environmental monitoring by ZigBee wireless sensor networksystem. All the main control chips of ZigBee network nodes were the new, high performanceand low power STM32W108ZigBee microcontroller. The system had a smart and convenientHandset which is designed for the collection in some special circumstance, it can join theZigBee network and get the date of terminals as router. The handset was convenient formaintaining and testing the wireless sensor network. This paper proposed an algorithm to thenode deployment and communication coverage problem, the improved algorithm was basedon RSSI detection and analysis. Through the design experiments, under the testing standard,indoor partition barriers, obstacles blocking wall up to7; on the open lake, maximumcommunication distance is about2500m. Through the experiment, the system is completelysuitable for the demand of data acquisition, transmission, processing in the industrialcollection field. Through the quantitative comparison of test results, there is a directrelationship between the quality of communication with the weather, environment, multipath,diffraction etc. The improved algorithm is verified by the experiment. When the number ofneighbor nodes is198, the area error rate is8.7%. If the number of nodes is increased, theerror will decline further, coverage sector reached more than200m。It has greatly improvedthan40m. It shows that the algorithm is effective.
