Analysis Of The Transmitting And The Eliminating Process Of Micro-blog Rumor From The Prospective Of Communications

As a new transmission tool, micro-blog in such a We-media time with distinctadvantages compared with the traditional media brings convenience to people’s lifeby changing producing, transmitting, and receiving modes of the information.Micro-blog rumors, the combination of rumors and micro-blog which is a new socialmedia, affect the healthy development of micro-blog space. However, the traditionalextreme ways: rigid prohibition and negative evasion cannot achieve the anticipatedresults. Humanistic and feasible countermeasures for micro-blog rumors need to beproposed after in-depth analysis.This paper starts from the characteristics of micro-blog rumors using qualitativeanalysis and quantitative analysis of the samples of micro-blog rumors and behaviorof micro-blog users in rumors spreading and analyzes the forming reasons and thetransmitting features by making research on the living examples of micro-blogrumors. It also makes some suggestions on how to eliminate micro-blog rumors fromthe angle of micro-blog self-purification and self-control.Firstly, combining with relative theories and previous studies on micro-blogrumors, this paper makes explanations on the definition of micro-blog rumors.Secondly, making conclusion on the cause of micro-blog rumors, the authorbased on the analysis of micro-blog text pays attention to the research on thecommunication content and subject of micro-blog rumors and dissects thetransmitting features of micro-blog rumors on the basis of Communication Theory.Thirdly, after grasping transmitting features of micro-blog rumors, this paperemphasizes the role of the self-purification of micro-blog played on the elimination ofmicro-blog rumors and reviews the constructions and functions of theself-purification system. Meanwhile, aiming to make reasonable suggestions oneliminating rumors it also proposes control strategies of micro-blog rumors withexpectation to avoid and refute rumors correctly and efficiently.
