Design And Implementation Of Graduation Thesis Management System

With the development of technology, network technology has been alreadywidely used in our daily life. Meanwhile, it brings a revolution of educational method.Dissertation management is one of the very important directions of education. Thesis,as an important part of school students, is comprehensive practical teaching activities.It is designed to comprehensively assess students’ multifaceted ability. Therefore,graduation design management processes are complex and involve so many people.At the same time, information technology is one of the weakest link. Thesismanagement system, which is based on Web technology, can be managed throughoutthe world by means of the Internet. Therefore, this thesis researches and implements athesis management system.First, a brief introduction about system development theories were presented,including Web Server development theory and B/S structure. Again, it analyzedASP.NET technology, ADO.NET technology and SQLserver database which wereneeded during the design of B/S structure of the thesis management system. Duringthe requirements analysis phase of the paper, the feasibility and feasibility of thisdesign were demonstrated through economic feasibility analysis of the system,technical feasibility and operational feasibility analysis. Then, followed by therefinement of the system, a detailed analysis were conducted to administrators,instructors and students and other different role users’ activities, use cases, physicalproperties and contact as well as the data flow of each user while using the system.This analysis provides ample theoretical basis for the thesis proposal. In the designand implementation phases, it was preliminarily designed from the overall designprinciples, system architecture and component aspects and defined fields andproperties of the system tables in the database to clarify the relationship between thetables. It achieved a different function module for different users, such as theadministrator’s bulletin management, mentors and student management, modulemanagement, rights management. It achieved the functions like thesis supervisoruser management, material review and modification feedbacks, paper assessment,the realization of thesis topic selection for student users, the submission of thesis proposal, the submission of thesis, the respondent application, review the results andthesis evaluation results query etc.Finally, the thesis management system was tested. The test results showed thatthe system could achieve this function properly, the interface design is reasonable andit is in line with expected design goals. The development and application of thesismanagement information system standardizes graduate design management process inall aspects. It improves the management efficiency while allowing for monitoring ofthe every step on the thesis design management process. This thesis provides atechnical support for improving the quality of student’s thesis.
