| Synthetic aperture radar (SAR) has the characteristics of all-weather, all day, longrange, high-resolution in both range and azimuth directions, has been widely used inmilitary and civilian fields. With the improvement of SAR imaging algorithms anddevelopment of digital signal processing technologies, the real-time processing of SARecho and high-resolution imaging become new research directions.This paper mainly discusses the real-time imaging technology of side lookingSAR based on multicore DSP, and from the view of the large amount of SAR imagecan not be timely return to ground, realize the real-time JPEG compression onmulticore DSP. The basic theory of SAR Imaging, especially the RDA, is introduced.In order to meet the requirements of large amount of data, large amount of computationand fast speed of operation in radar signal processing, the signal processing boardwhich is based on multicore DSP is applied for the design of algorithms. Then, thepaper introduce the structure of the signal processing board, illustrates the interfaceconnection between the boards in the signal processing system, expound the concretealgorithm mapping between the cores and software implementation in detail, andpresents a real-time experimental results. The experimental results show that multicoreDSP processing can completely satisfy the requirements of high real time capability,and has high accuracy. Finally, this paper briefly describes the JPEG standard and theoutput format after compressed, expounds the specific process of JPEG compressionon multicore DSP, the software design scheme, illustrates the optimization according tothe characteristics. Under the premise of not affecting the quality of the image,improve the compression ratio as possible. The SAR image used to compress arepresented in the final comparison of before and after compression, the effect is ideal. |
