The opinions for the new medical reform strongly suggest establishing practical and shared health care information system, and vigorously promoting health care informatization. Pharmaceutical distribution relates to people’s livelihood and its key point is the costs and efficiency. Reducing costs and increasing efficiency of pharmaceutical distribution can’t do without an extendable and powerful pharmaceutical distribution enterprise information managing system with high standard and efficiency. Using GY pharmaceutical enterprise as a research object, this paper analyzes the management information system requirements for the pharmaceutical circulation enterprise. Further, this paper also designs an information managing system for pharmaceutical distribution enterprises combining the database technique with the methods and theories of software engineering and so forth, which facilitates the operation and management of pharmaceutical distribution enterprises and meets public’s medical demands at the same time by reducing pharmaceutical distribution costs. In this sense, this study has great theoretical value and practical significance.Firstly, this paper introduces database technologies about the pharmaceutical distribution enterprise information managing system, including basic steps of database designing, database query processing, and the optimization methods of database query. This paper also uses PowerBuilder technology as a programming tool for the system, and outlines the Web Application system and its key technology. Secondly, using GY pharmaceutical distribution enterprise as an example, this paper analyze this enterprise’s organization structure and existing problems for its previously-built information managing system, and further explains the goal of system demand, system functions, and business processes of the system. Based on what is mentioned above, the paper elaborates the general idea of pharmaceutical distribution enterprise information managing system and designs a hybrid system structure of C/S&B/S.A snowflake model of management information system database is built, and the switching Ethernet technology is used to build LAN and WAN for pharmaceutical distribution enterprise information managing system. Besides, this paper also carries out the network connection equipment selection and designs for its connection. Thirdly based on the overall framework and system structure, the paper introduces several function modules of GY System in detail, such as pharmaceutical procurement, warehousing, transportation and distribution, financial management, office management, personnel management, vehicle management, logistics management, pharmaceutical sales and customer service. Finally, the paper discusses the realization of the management information system for GY enterprise, and methods to realize the database connection and function of C/S part, as well as the access layer, business logic layer and presentation layer of B/S part.
