Design And Development Of Adult Training Of Virtual Learning System

With the frequent occurrence of oilfield accident, more and more oilfield leaderships andstaffs have been aware of the importance of adult training. With the increased demand oftraining in enterprise, it promotes the rapid development of the oilfield training. Oil workersnot only need the basic knowledge, but also need experienced operating skills. Throughinvestigation, the author learns that many learners are not very satisfied with the currenttraining content and training methods. There are many problems in training such as: differentlevel of learners,“Heavy theory, Light practice” and repeated of contents, inflexible methodsof training, ignoring the characteristics of adult learning etc.The thesis proposed to build virtual learning platform which mixes adult learning theorywith virtual training based on the current lack of training, needs of adult training and featuresof adult and adult curricula. The thesis deeply studied the model of self-directed learning andabsorbs essence of previous learning theory. The thesis enriched the model of self-directedlearning so that learners can collaborate and communicate with peers in the learning processand promote problems solving and promote to transform self-directed learning intocollaborative self-directed learning. The author designed and improved the virtual trainingsystem for oil workers through series of investigation, observation and feedback. Before oilworkers take part in the real work, they grasp standard operation skills and safetyspecifications by the virtual training system so as to achieve good results and improve theefficiency of training.After a series of studies, the thesis achieved some results and tried to develop the virtuallearning system and training materials. Oil workers who used the virtual training system aresatisfied with the training mode. The training achieved the desired effect.
