The geometric characteristics of the product reflect its main functionalrequirements, while geometric errors have a critical influence on productperformance and have a great impact on the machine’s working precision andservice life, the influence is more prominent especially for the parts working underthe condition of high speed, high pressure, high temperature&heavy load. Digitalassessment of the geometric errors can not only provide a reliable basis for theacceptance of mechanical products, but also play a crucial role in improvingproducts’ quality. With the establishment of the new generation GPS standardsystem, ISO/TC213puts forward new requirements and specifications for theassessment of workpieces shape errors. Domestic and foreign scholars andcompanies have done a lot of studies on the theory, mathematical models andsolution methods of geometric error evaluation of the workpiece based on the newgeneration of GPS. At present, the theoretical study is comparatively mature, butit’s not enough systematic and perfect. There is still a certain gap between thetheoretical study and application in the actual production.This paper studies on the geometric error evaluation of the product/part, aims atsolving the key technical issues of digital geometric error evaluation, such as thetheoretical basis and applications of the operation and operator technology of thenew generation of GPS, the configuration and optimization of the operator, theselect of the optimization method, the establishment and computer solution of themathematical model in the major step of operator, the graphical display of themeasured data and evaluation results, etc. Synthesized the relevant programmingtechnology and based on the embedded operating system, this paper develops a setof software systems which meets the latest international standards of geometrictolerances.The main work of this paper include the following aspects: 1. The research on the critical techniques in the geometric error evaluationsystem based on embedded.Firstly, this paper presents the overall scheme of the geometric error evaluationsystem based on embedded, then studies the composition and characteristics of theWindows CE operating system, the operation and operator technology of newgeneration GPS standard, the optimal design technology, human-machine interactionand graphical display technics. These establish a solid theoretical basis fordeveloping the evaluation system.2.The research on the key operations of geometric error evaluation systembased on the embedded.This paper deeply studies the following technologies in the embedded system,including data reading technology, data processing technique and filter technique,solve the key technical problems of the system development.3. The establishment and computer solution of the mathematical model in thefit operator.This paper establishes the programming model for the geometric errorassessment combined with the characteristics of types of various geometric errors.According to the characteristics of linear programming, it analyzes the features ofthe geometric error enclosure evaluation, researches the objective functions andrestrictive conditions systematically, makes the coordinate transformation of thesampled data, and establishes the linear programming models of evaluating thegeometric error which include the single enclosure evaluation and double enclosureevaluation.4.Open up the software system of geometric error evaluation.This paper opens up the software system of the geometric error evaluationunder the environment of Microsoft Visual Studio2008by using C#programminglanguage. The correctness of the objective functions and restriction are verified bycombining the program with some practical data measuring by the cylindricitymeasuring instrument, it can also verify the feasibility of the program.
