With the coming of the era of micro-era, microblogging and micro-channel arequietly changing people’s lives. It has a significant impact for many areas of society,especially in the field of public service. All along, the government is the main body ofthe China’s public welfare. But the private charity development is relatively slow.After the Guo Meimei events, the public welfare had a significant change in thepattern.And the private charity has a rapid growth.Some reporters have a strong sense of civic and social responsibility. Theyplunge into the public service in the field of micro era. They play their ownadvantages, use the new communication platform, gather a lot of human, financialand material resources to solve social problems. It is worth noting that, while they aredoing charity, trying to avoid the shortcomings and deficiencies of government-runpublic service. They use a variety of channels to ensure openness and transparency ofpublic welfare. The reporter believes that openness and transparency is the credibilityof the public welfare, but also its vitality.This paper uses multi-disciplinary knowledge in journalism, communication,sociology, etc."Free lunch" and "love dust cleared" are the object of analysis in thisarticle. They carry out the process is closely linked with the micro-era. And they arerepresentative. In this paper, the relationship between welfare and micro-era reporteras a starting point to explore the reporters in the era of micro-initiated welfare model.Discuss their play role in the whole process, and then investigate the effects ofwelfare on the reporter’s own role. Finally, the article analyzes the success ofmicro-era public project, provide reference and guidance for the new charity.This paper consists of four parts. The first part is an introduction, describes thebackground and significance of the topic, research status and research content andmethods. The second part of the discussion of welfare and micro-era correspondentrelations, the relations between closely considered, mutual promotion and commondevelopment. The third part is the main part of this article. In this section it discussesfour issues. First, it describes the typical charitable activities. Second, the reporter is how to promote public welfare in the micro-era. Third, the reporter is a charity boostpower. Fourth, the new social role of reporter through the charity. The fourth part isthe conclusion and revelation, mainly summarizes the successful practices reportersare involved in charitable activities, as well as the problems and shortcomings.
