The Hui nationality is one of the main ethnic minorities in Xinjiang, Hui peopleare widely distributed, scattered the whole Xinjiang.This paper mainly takes Islamic groups—Hui people in Xinjiang province asresearch objects. By using the method of interview research and the method ofquestionnaire survey explored and analyzes the mass media to Hui nationality inXinjiang province to study ways of using mass media and habits. Purpose is toexplore: the mass media to Xinjiang hui ethnic group in the nation, culture, religionand the role and impact of lifestyle.Based on the perspective of sociology, this paper tries to percent a Xinjiang huiaudience in the mass media in the development of national character and particularity,hui audience with other national audience were described emphatically in the massmedia use and habits differences, Analysis of Xinjiang hui audiences of mass mediaand the influence of the reaction, consider how the mass media in the areas inhabitedby minority people in Xinjiang is more effective and more targeted communicationeffect. Finally comparison between different economic level, rural urban media usagecome to the conclusion for media development imbalance problems, tentatively putsforward solution and suggestion, in order to provide equal Xinjiang hui audienceevery individual media resources,to realize and protect the development of theindividual’s biggest, to realize the balanced development of the social material cultureand spiritual culture. This paper argues that the development of modern heritage in theform of Hui culture, is influenced by the mass media, and interactions with otherethnic group are in separable.
