With the development of economy and the improvement of people’s life standard, as the necessary traffic tools the private cars are showing a strong growth trend, and the resulting traffic problems become more and more serious, what’s more, the management technology of parking is not high, a growing number of private cars have presented increasingly serious parking problems. So in order to improve the management of parking lot and the efficiency of parking, the research on intelligent parking system has great significance.In the thesis, the research is studied aiming at the entrance guard recognition and the surveillance of parking spaces, which combined with IoT wireless sensor technology, LPR(License Plate Recognition) technology, embedded cross-platform GUI(Graphical User Interface) Qt technology, and so on. The concrete content is as follows:First of all, build a hardware development environment of a plane parking lot which includes UHF RFID dual channel card reading module, camera module, brake machine module, parking lot module, and the host controller module. Secondly, design the interface program of UHF RFID to communicate with the host controller which is aimed to realize vehicles identification and charge without stop. Thirdly, design the license plate recognition program based on MATLAB, the character recognition of which is based on ELM-a Single-hidden Layer Feedforward Neural network; Fourthly, configure the Zigbee nodes to realize the transmission of parking information and the control of brake machine. Finally, set up an embedded cross-compile environment, designing the monitoring interface runing on the host controller-PXA270with embedde Qt technology.The program has realized automatic entrance guard recognition and transport the information of RF card and parking lot to controller using IoT technology; What’s more, the LPRS based on ELM has the characteristics of easy training, high speed of identification and good accuracy; The designed monitoring interface can disply the user information and in-out time, the car license number, the charge of parking, the control of brake machine, the occupation of parking lot, etc; The system also has some advantages such as low cost, high efficiency, good safety and so on, furthermore the rapid development of the Internet of things makes it own great prospect.
