Design And Implementation Of Cross-Platform Mobile Application In Intelligent Parking Lot

Parking problem has become increasingly difficult due to the fast development of social economy,population and development of city's modernization process.The information asymmetry between car owner and the parking lot owner is where the contradiction locates.This makes the research and development of intelligent parking lot mobile application very urgent.The project belongs to Science and technology support program of 2014 in Hubei Province----"ETC parking integrated service platform based on IOT".The project is developed by Hubei University and Co.Ltd.AiDi.The application integrated AiDi company' s nearly 50 intelligent ETC parking lots of Wuhan.Users can find these parking lots on the map,search parking lots information,real-time parking spot information and cost information.Car owner can also navigate to the parking lot.Because mobile platform varies,the first needs to be resolved for development of the application is the cross-platform issues.Secondly,how to display the parking lot information in the map so that users can query and navigate.Last to be considered is the communication between mobile client and server side.In order to solve these problems,the project uses DevExtreme cross-platform mobile development framework which can easily deploy application to different mobile platforms.At the same time,DevExtreme cross-platform mobile development framework provides abundant UI controls and MVC development frameworks.The problem of parking lots' display on the map and navigation is solved by Baidu LBS Open Platform.Baidu LBS Open Platform can store massive parking lot POI data in its cloud.It also provides Web service API for developers to call Baidu Map' s services.WCF OData service is the ideal solution to communication between mobile client and server side.Mobile client often communicate with server side by Ajax,WCF OData service is based on JSON which is very conducive to Ajax request.In addition to it,the combination between DevExtreme and WCF OData service is very tight.The prospect of intelligent parking lot is very attractive.It can effectively integrate the existing parking resources and parking demands,reduce the pressure on urban traffic and improve economic efficiency.
