Research On Current Situations And Solutions Of Practical Teaching For The Arts Of Broadcasting And Hosting In The Private Universities

The media industry have been developing rapidly in recent years, whilerelatively speaking, the practice teaching of Broadcasting and Hosting Arts(BHA) in regularinstitutions generally lags behind and cannot meet the demand for media talents. Owing to theparticularities of the properties of institution and source of enrollment, students ofBroadcasting and Anchoring majors in private colleges and universities have shown a seriesof problems which are different from those of the students in public ones in the process ofstudy and employment. In order to find the countermeasures, a resarch is carried out amongthree ordinary private institutions of Jilin province, namely the Jilin Animation Institute(JAI),Guanghua College of Changchun University(GCCU), Humanities and Sciences Collegeof North-East Normal University(HSC). The study is focused on the practice teaching ofBHA. And the researcher makes every effort to target the problems in common, to make thecontent of research pointed, and to arrive at a valuable and applicable conclusion.This thesis consists of four parts as introduction, analysis of concepts, investigation of thestatus quo of private college BHA practice teaching in Jilin province, and the case study ofGCCU on the strategies for college practice teaching.In the second part, after investigating JAI, GCCU, and HSC seperately, the researchersummarizes the general situation and makes a comparative analysis of the status quo of thepractice teaching of BHA in these three colleges and institutes.In the case study of GCCU, the researcher puts forward some strategies for practiceteaching such as: Enhancement of understanding—to build a practice curriculum system inaccordance with the characteristics of the major; Attaching great importance to thepractice—to quest a new model of professional and graduation parctice; Training throughcompetetion—to design a new training program of applied talents; Artistic practice—toinnovate new method of students professional report in different stages of the practice;University-enterprise cooperation—to explore new ideas in line with the characteristics ofprivate college talents. These strategies are feasible and agree with the rules of professionaldevelopment.
