Design And Implementation Of Electronic Police System In Intelligent Transportation

With the development of urbanization, transportation construction has also beenconsiderably developed."Intelligent transportation" is an important part of theconstruction of the wisdom city, electronic police system is also an indispensablepart of intelligent transportation construction. Electronic police system works throughthe entire process of detection of illegal behavior such as running a red light, and ofshooting records, thus, comprehensively reflecting the process of vehicle violation,providing sufficient legal basis for the punishment while addressing the result of thedriver’s illegal behavior caused by traffic congestion problems and while avoiding orreducing the traffic accidents. So that it will bring great convenience to the trafficmanagement.According to the needs of traffic construction, this paper first make an analysis ofthe traffic management needs analysis, combining with road traffic conditions realities,then design an electronic police system. The system is based on C/S structure,composed of a server and multiple clients, and clients are deployed in each intersection,connection and data transfer of client and server is processed via network. The clientcalled intersection electronic police is designed to monitor road traffic conditionsaccording to the lights state and to gather vehicle-related information. The server sideis responsible for the preservation of the monitoring data transmitted from the clients,the server-side also provides real-time monitoring of the intersections, control, and dataquery functions.The needs of traffic management are analyzed after the paper presents thebackground and significance of building the electronic police system. Related to thestructure and function of the system is then further elaborated via the outline designand detailed design, design implementation and system integration work are thencarried on. Finally is the system test including functional test and non-functional test.The needs to be improved and further researched of the current electronic policesystem are discussed at the end of this paper.
