With the rapid development of Internet and computing technology, mobilecomputing emerges as the time requires. At the same time, with the increasingrequirement of applications, mobile computing mode has experienced leapingdevelopment in the whole world, and played an increasingly important role in today’sworld. In order to satisfy the demand of data access in this new mode, mobile databasetechnology has come into being and grow stronger rapidly. Because of the mobility ofthe mobile computing, such as low bandwidth, frequent disconnection, asymmetrynetwork communication and so on, the traditional data processing mode can’t meet thedemand of mobile computing environment. In order to solve the key problem of dataconsistency in the application of mobile database, we must study more deeply anddevelop mobile data replication technology based on the characteristics of this kind ofcomputing environment.In this paper, we mainly analysis the problems and technologies of the mobile dataaccess, in another word, the mobile data replication technology. Firstly, this paperdescribes replication mechanism and synchronous particle size. Then, we present aUnion Result-Set mobile replication model based on semantic merge. With the help ofthe method of merged and optimized based on semantic, we increase the amount ofdata transmitted during data synchronization and improves the network utilizationand transmission efficiently. At the same time, this paper has deeply studied thereplication conflicts, then develops a new transaction time limited maximum conflictsdetection and resolution mechanism based on semantic merger.This method saves thespace of the buffer area and the time of the conflicts detection, and improves theutilization of the cache. The strongest point is to keep the transaction from aborting toa certain degree, which could have past the conflicts detection and improve theefficiency of the global submission.
