In recent years, with the development of hardware and corresponding software technology, mobile computing makes a quick progress and plays an important role in many fields. The research on mobile database has become a new hot topic in distributed database research fields.Research on mobile computing mainly focuses on replication and caching, location management, query optimizing, data broadcast, security, mobile transaction processing and human-machine interface technologies. Among these topics research of mobile transaction processing is one of the key technologies.One of the most important object of transaction processing is data consistency. The differences between mobile computing and static distributed computing environment make the traditional technology is not no more suitable. Some more works need to be done in this direction that work well in mobile environment.Firstly, in this paper, we introduce the research status on mobile transaction processing, focusing on the progeny of mobile transaction model study. We also discuss the features of desirable model.Then we analyze the data consistency technology so far, and point out the advantage and disadvantage of it. Based on the above knowledge we raised a new data consistency mechanism---Client-Server Transaction-level Consistency (CSTR) mechanism. CSTR mechanism is Based on weak consistency replication technology, and achieve system consistency by synchronization periodically between mobile computer and replication server.Lastly, we build CSTR system model based on CSTR mechanism, and introduce the process and method in detail.
