Resource Optimization Of GSM Network Of Xi’an UNICOM

The current GSM network is in a rapid stage of development; just a few yearsalready have a considerable scale. Therefore, strengthening the network optimization,operation and maintenance is the key to improve the quality of the mobilecommunication network. A perfect network often needs to experience from the initialnetwork planning, construction and putting into use, to the network optimization, andfinally becomes a virtuous circle.Network optimization means to collect and analyze the data on the networkofficially being put into operation, and then identify the factors which affect the qualityof network operation, by adjusting the parameters and some other technical means tokeep the network running in the best state, acquiring the best benefits by using currentnetwork resources, and concluding reasonable proposals for the future networkmaintenance, planning and construction.This paper studies the ways of resources optimization of GSM wireless network,for technology of improving the utilization of GSM wireless network resources, mainlyintroduces the half rate feature, GSM900/1800dual band system, cellular cell split,spread spectrum and frequency reuse technology, and discusses the importance ofresources optimization in utilization of network based on Xi’an Unicom network data.Our wireless network resource optimization objective is to rationally allocateresources of the network by optimizing the allocation of resources, maximize thepotential of current equipments and improve resource utilization on not increasinginvestment in equipment, avoid imbalance between busy and idle in the network, andreduce investment to maximum investment returns.
