The vigorous development of the Internet has promoted the explosive growth of data transfer which is based on the complex network. Optical network has been widely used owing to its long transmission distance and large capacity. Whether we can make reasonable allocation of network resources determines the quality of service provided by the network. So it is necessary for us to do simulation analysis on the network resource allocation.This paper is based on a set of transport network designing and optimization system developed by our laboratory. The research is about the modules of network resource allocation and survivability optimization in this system. In the study of network resource allocation this paper puts forward a network routing and wavelength assignment algorithm based on the layered graph model. The algorithm can adjust the link weight dynamically according to the network condition based on multiple objectives. The simulation experiments show the effectiveness of the algorithm.As to the network survivability this paper proposes a method to allocate the protection capacity based on the particle swarm optimization algorithm. This new method can avoid premature convergence and solve the protection capacity optimization problem.In terms of network resource visualization, the original topology interface is modified by adding plug-ins of the geographic information system which realizes the network equipment the longitude and latitude orientation and precision distance calculation. Network resource visualization also provides reliable data for network routing and resource allocation algorithm.
