The next generation mobile communications focus on expanding the bandwith or improving the capability of network to satisify the reqirement of high-speed increasing traffics. Also, it puts focus on the research of new-coming types of mobile services. But the research on the application of mobile network is not too much.Considering the performance and cost, this paper propose the concept that nodes based on WinCE PDA using 802.11b wireless network interface cards in ad hoc mode can have the group communication ability by implement MSR on network layer and using SIP signaling to control the communication. To implement the design propose above, we part our research on three parts: the implement of MSR, sip signal conrtol, the transffer of multimedia stream. This paper focuses on implement MSR on WinCE platform. So that it can provide the routing function to the upper layer. The Multipath Source Routing (MSR) is the direct descendant of Dynamic Source Routing protocol (DSR). It use multi paths to send packets so that it can fully use the routes that getting during the route discovery and route maintain. The simulation results show that MSR improves the packet delivery ratio and reduces the end-to-end delay and the average queue size, while adding little overhead. So we choose MSR as the network layer protocol in our design.Considering that the DSR/MSR has been implemented on Linux we choose Windows CE.Net as the target platform as the Microsoft Windows Operation System is the most pop OS currently. By using the Windows Network Driver Interface Specification, we adding the MSR arograthm to the Intermediate Driver and finally make the nodes on Windows CE.Net Platform can communicate with each other by routing on MSR.
