With the rapid development of media technology and electronic equipment,modern reading turn into the digital age, the biggest feature of digital reading is theway of reading become digitalization. Consumers can read by mobile phones,computers, TVs and laptops, such those digital reading terminals, and they are used toswitching from one device to another, this situation have become common, the digitalreading is turning into the stage of crossscreen browsing.However,with the rapid development of the terminal devices, lead to some new challengesfor cross-screen reading on digital products.For most provider of reading services,this means that they are no longer just design a single device product, but should be aset of services across the screen, it will allow users to freely switch the devices bythemselves brings to a seamlessly reading experience. therefor how to improve theusers experience of cross-screen browsing is the one of the most important questionfor currently digital reading, which cross-screen digital reading application interfacedesign is one of the serious and direct factors for cross-screen browsing experience.Nowadays, there are two solutions to the problem, one is develop variousversions for different devices, and the other way is use responsive-technique toauto-adjust the information architecture.Neither approach works perfectly, there arestill make some difference to user led to inconsistent user experience.This paper aimed to improve the consistency of cross-screen reading experience,has analyzed the information architecture design method of digital reading applicationon cross-screen, explored the possibility of universal information architecture oncross-screen with combination of immersion theory, and proposed a universalinformation architecture named Fishbone. And on this basis, combined with the caseof “new channel” cross-screen reading application design I participate in,the practiceof the strategy and final results will be discussed and verified in this paper.The high lights and Innovations of this report are included: first of all, discussedthe cross-screen design analyse structure of consistency experience base on theconsistency theory research and provided the principle of consisitent cross-screeninterface design, proposed a good example for consistent cross-screen readinginterface design. Secondly,through the analyse structure of cross sccreen interfacedesign and the features of digital reading interface design,proposed a consisitent design method of cross screen digital reading interface design, Bring a positive effectof unified the experience of cross screen digital reading.The last,a new cross-screenmethod named ‘fishbone’ is provided under the guidance of digital reading interfacedesign strategies based on cross screen and combining the method of immersivedesign,Furthermore, the feasibility of the fishbone method is confirmed bynew-channel design applications. Therefore, the Fishbone information architecture isnot only meet the requirements from several of terminal devices but also support agood quality of user experience.
