As the limitation of construction system and technical condition, externaldevices with variety interface and testing systems with heterogeneous structure iswidely exsited in domestic range, which cause the problem of repeated systemconstruction because of the low information and resource sharing capability. Tosolve the problem of resources’ low reusability and interoperability, a protocolconversion software for HIT-TENA is developed, which achieves diversifiedexternal devices and heterogeneous testing systems’ quickly accessing and plays animportant role on improving testing system’s reliability and the speed of systembuilds.Different kinds of protocols in range are studied to analysis their componentand typical characteristic comprehensively. High Level Architecture (HLA) as oneof the most widely used distributed simulation architecture, whose principle andcomposition are studied. After comparing the similarities and differences betweenHIT-TENA and HLA in architecture and object model, TENA-HLA gateway isproposed to solve the problem of systems’ interconnection. An access implement for device with interface protocol is developed toachieve external devices’ quick accessing in HIT-TENA. A common protocoltemplate is designed which is used to cover all kinds of protocols through analyzingvarious interface protocols. The implement provides a visual edit ing function andimplements protocols’ uniform storage and persistent management by database.Besides, the implement designs a common protocol conversion component thatconforms to the HIT-TIDE interface specification and proposes a method to convertthe protocol data into the object model and component.A TENA-HLA gateway is developed to solve the problem of theinterconnection of the HIT-TENA and HLA. By analyzing the information fromHLA FOM/SOM tables and HIT-TENA LROM file, an object model mapping file isgenerated to store the information on publishing and subscribing. In systemoperation stage, the gateway loads the object model mapping file to realize objectmodel matching and object instance converting, and calls middleware interface service of HLA CERTI and HIT-TENA to achieve information exchanging betweenHLA and HIT-TENA.The software requirement mdeling has been made use of an UML modelingtool, static structure modeling and dynamic behavior modeling are described. Finally, a test system has been set up under the environment of HIT-TIDE, testresults show that the software has good reliability and universality, and meet therequirements of users quite well.
