Virtual Test and evaluation enabling Architecture system is a virtul testing architecture on the basis of the Test and Training Enabling Architecture designed to improve the versatility of the range testing. As one of the critical infrastructure of VITA architecture, middleware provides the basic support for resource applications of range, which is responsible for all communications in the process of training.The purpose of this paper is to dvelop middleware of VITA architecture, providing unified APIs for all range resource applications to meet the needs of the versatility and interoperability of the range training. It supports resource integrated development environment to build and run In this thesis, the technology of object model is researched and logical range object model is to solve the interoperability of range resources, the technology of distributed construction based on the ACE is to solve the cross-platform of middleware. VITA middleware services model is built based on the reference of HLA RTI and TENA middleware services. According to object-oriented software analysis and design methods, the use of Unified Modeling Language tools software use case analysis, give the VITA middleware proposed structural model which is based on TENA, including data distribution management services, clock management services, information management services and management services statement.This VITA middleware is developed by ACE and C++ with platform portability. The soft testing result shows that the software is characterized with simple interface, reliable operation and excellent performance, meeting the VITA system’s needs.
